FORNO CAMPO de’ FIORI

Forno in Campo dei Fiori has a long line for this Pizza Farciti, they are delieriously crisp focaccia sandwiches with various fillings, I had my eyes locked on the one with eggplant but the couple in line before me got to them first. Instead I had a zucchini blossom and fiore di latte one.

I ordered also a Crostata di Visciole, little tarts filled with sour cherry, which is native to this neighborhood (and the Ghetto next door where they do the same thing but with a scoop of ricotta added before baking). The third pic of those beautiful Occhetti with a mirror like apricot sheen, those mean “Cow Eyes”🤣 sometimes you see them by their full name Occhi di Bue.
