Antico Focacceria San Francesco

Pani ca’Meusa

the most delicious disgusting thing ever!

This is the antipasti plate at Antica Focacceria consisting of Panelle & ChrochèCaponata, mini-Arancini, Focaccia Maritada but the highlight of the plate, believe it or not, in fact I didn’t think I would like it but it’s this mini-Pani ca’Meusa.

You probably don’t want to know what Pani ca’Meusa is, when you see it at a food stall they keep the pot covered with a linen so you can’t see what it is, then when you order it they reach under the linen with a spoon and put it on your bread keeping the whole thing hidden. That was too much for me to endure but at Antica Focacceria it just arrives on the plate without all the smoke and mirrors. Since you asked, it’s veal spleen and lung boiled then fried … in lard… how many friends have I lost?
